Welcome to The Arts Society Speyside

Formed in 1996 as the Moray Banff and Badenoch Decorative and Fine Arts Society meets monthly (except in July and August) for lectures on a broad and diverse range of topics.

Our lectures are given by experienced and highly qualified lecturers who are experts in their chosen field. A full description can be found in the 'Lectures' section.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DECEMBER 2019 AND JANUARY 2020 LECTURES WILL BE HELD AT HOLY TRINITY HALL, 5 TRINITY PLACE (opposite ALDI) ELGIN IV30 1UL

To supplement the monthly lectures, Special Interest Days are arranged twice per year in which a subject is studied in greater depth. Further information is available in the 'Special Interest' section.

The 'Volunteering' section describes our regular activities of promoting Young Arts, Church Recording and Heritage Volunteering.

The Society is a member of The Arts Society that was founded in 1968 as the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies. The Arts Society works to advance decorative and fine arts education and appreciation, alongside promoting the preservation of artistic heritage. It is a UK-based charity and supports a network of over 360 local societies across the country. In addition, it supports a number of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies in mainland Europe and Australasia.
